I may be in a roll the next couple of days as the year has started very busy for me! YAY! for that. ;-)
I have the new Essie Cashmere Matte collection, which was sold out on their website, and I was going crazy.
Essie describe this collection "with a satin-matte texture and a subtle but spellbinding micro-iridescent finish" it has a soft matte finish and with matte polishes is better if used without top coat. I applied three coats for all colors to get full opacity. it is better to wait a minute or two in between coats to dry. A great thing about these is that they dry quick and they feel so soft after dried, like touching cashmere LOVE!
First is 'Comfy in Cashmere' is a mauve polish with deep velvet undertones. Filled with blue micro-iridescence which can be seen on the bottle and a little less after it dries on the nails.
'Just Stitched' is a pearly light pink. No matter how many photos I took it looks lighter then what it actually is, but the reflective pearl color is gorgeous. Be patient with this one as it's not that great while applying.
'Wrap me Up' is a soft neutral pink with beige undertone. It does not have any reflective color.
'All Eyes on Nudes' just became a favorite matte nude. Essie describes this as a camel-hued neutral tone.
'Coat Couture' is a greige satin matte with very subtle purple shimmer.
'Spun in Luxe' is a matte blue black. You can clearly see the blue micro shimmer in the bottle and while applying but hardly visible once is dry. Still it is an enchanting color. I added top coat and BAM! you can see the blue shimmer.
Overall is an ok collection, different, at least from what I own from Essie and I love all the colors. Formula can be tricky and at times nerve wrecking.
always keep in mind that matte, satin matte polishes are not long wearing polishes, but a good thing is that if you chip a nail you can retouch and it would be hardly noticeable that you "fixed" it. I tried it a couple of times while swatching these.
