Essie's Serene Slate Collection | Swatches & Review

Hello,

I know, I know, I said on my Instagram that I was going to stop blogging and concentrate on Instagram and YouTube (for nail tutorials) only, but when I have so many swatches I will be posting here for full photos only and a mini-review :-)
As you may have noticed, SimplyJary.com is gone but the blogspot will be updated every now and then.

So! Today, I have the new Essie Serene Collection. A collection that "lets you unplug from the screen and plug into a manicure of neutrals that suit any skin tone or state of mind".

Essie Limited Edition Winter 2018 Collection | Review & Swatches

Hello!
Today I have the new and Limited Edition Winter 2018 collection from Essie.
Now, I am curious as to why it is a limited edition collection. Does anyone know?

This collection consists of six new shades, two shimmers, one metallic and three creams. And it "bottles up the power of nature's most electrifying lightshow and the ici beauty of the arctic."

Essie's Flowerista|Spring 2015

Happy Friday!

Today's post is the new Essie collection for spring 2015.

This collection celebrates the fresh perspectives and energetic nature of the spring season.

It is also the first collaboration with designer Rebecca Minkoff who is joining Essie as a global color designer.

I wish that Essie would come out with more spring-ish colors. Two of these, although beautiful colors, does not scream SPRING to me, you'll know which ones :-)

Let's get to them... I took different shots of many colors because some were really hard to capture the true color.

First up is Petal Pushers a slate grey and to me with a blue undertone. Beautiful color, a bit darker than my photo. Formula was really good, too good. Two coats plus top coat.Essie Petal Pushers

Essie|Cashmere Matte 2015 Collection

Hello Again lovelies!

I may be in a roll the next couple of days as the year has started very busy for me! YAY! for that. ;-)

I have the new Essie Cashmere Matte collection, which was sold out on their website, and I was going crazy.

Essie describe this collection "with a satin-matte texture and a subtle but spellbinding micro-iridescent finish" it has a soft matte finish and with matte polishes is better if used without top coat. I applied three coats for all colors to get full opacity. it is better to wait a minute or two in between coats to dry. A great thing about these is that they dry quick and they feel so soft after dried, like touching cashmere LOVE!Essie Cashmere Matte

Essie 'Dress to Kilt' Fall 2014

Good Evening lovelies,

I have a late post tonight as I could not really wait!

On my most recent trip to NY, and as a routine, I went to my spot in Brooklyn and what did I find? The new Essie Fall 2014 collection! Yay! I bought two, wonder what I may do with the extra set?? :-DEssie Fall 2014

Well my dears, I have to say, Essie hit a homerun with this line, I mean, SERIOUSLY! I don't own any of last fall's collection, so the colors are new to me, at least from Essie.

Let's get to them... I may have taken more than one photo of each... ;-)

Nail Art Using nail studs and gradient (Tutorial)

Hello! I have not posted in a short while!

Today I have some nail art using some great nail art supply sent to me by Born Pretty Store.

Studs can be applied to the nail while the nail polish still wet, or use glue, I prefer to use the nail polish and then seal it by adding a top coat.

These are pretty, easy to use and the price is really great compared to the prices at beauty supplies, it's well worth the wait for the delivery.

They also offer discounts when you spent a certain amount and have hundreds of items available on their site.

If you want to receive 10% off your purchase you can use my code SEAG10 and free shipping worldwide.

Essie 'haute in the heat' Summer 2014

Good morning dolls,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Purchased

Today I have the new Essie summer 2014 collection 'haute in the heat'.

I have always used Essie, It is one the first brands I used if not the very first one. I thought the neon collection was the summer one ;-)

I have to say these colors don't yell summer at all, well maybe a little. I am unhappy with one of them and the rest were good to work with. Let's get to them...

First up is Haute in the Heat, the namesake of this collection, a beautiful cranberry, hot pink mix. Really good formula and it can easily be a one coater if a little bit than normal is used. This is two coats plus topcoat.Essie Haute in the Heat

Essie Neon 2014

Good evening!

Hope that you are doing great! I just got back from my trip to NY (another one) and as always did a "small" haul at my spot where I buy nail polish, and by small I mean 18 Nail polishes, including the new Essie Neon 2014 collection.

Look for info about how to have a chance at winning an extra collection I grabbed for one lucky follower on Instagram :-D

Without further delay let's look at each one of the polish from this collection.

Note: I used Essie's Ridge Filling Base for each color.

First up is I'm Addicted, neon aquamarine blue, very appropriate name for any polish addict like me. This is three coats plus top coat. Application was good, and I do recommend waiting about three minutes in between coats.Essie Neon 2014 I'm Addicted

Essie Resort 2014

Happy Friday!

Today I just received my order of the most recent release from Essie, Resort 2014.

At first I was a little uncertain of getting these four, as I have polishes that are very close to matching these. I am glad that I gave in and got them. They are actually different and unique in their own way.
