Good morning dolls,
Today I have the new Essie summer 2014 collection 'haute in the heat'.
I have always used Essie, It is one the first brands I used if not the very first one. I thought the neon collection was the summer one ;-)
I have to say these colors don't yell summer at all, well maybe a little. I am unhappy with one of them and the rest were good to work with. Let's get to them...
First up is Haute in the Heat, the namesake of this collection, a beautiful cranberry, hot pink mix. Really good formula and it can easily be a one coater if a little bit than normal is used. This is two coats plus topcoat.
Fierce, no fear, is a very rich creamy cocoa, oh wait its not food, but you get the idea. Its one of the best ones. This is two coats plus topcoat.
Urban Jungle, Essie describes it as 'irresistible alabaster orchid', no idea, bad formula, goopy, OK color, I'm not happy. This is two coats plus topcoat.
Ruffles & Feathers is a beautiful teal, beautiful, great formula, could be one coater but used two for opacity. One of my favorite, but it STAINS, so I recommend used two or more coats of a base. I had this one only for a couple of minutes and it STAINED!
Roarrrange, is a crelly orangey beauty. This is two coats plus topcoat.
and last, Strut your Stuff, the most summer of all, such a beautiful blue, really smooth to apply. This is two coats plus topcoat.
I like these colors, but they look more for the fall than summer. I'll still wear them as I am a rebel and wear any color any season :-D
Have a great day loves.
Jary
