I know, I know, I said on my Instagram that I was going to stop blogging and concentrate on Instagram and YouTube (for nail tutorials) only, but when I have so many swatches I will be posting here for full photos only and a mini-review :-)

As you may have noticed, SimplyJary.com is gone but the blogspot will be updated every now and then.

So! Today, I have the new Essie Serene Collection. A collection that "lets you unplug from the screen and plug into a manicure of neutrals that suit any skin tone or state of mind".

Now, I am curious as to why it is a limited edition collection. Does anyone know?

This collection consists of six new shades, two shimmers, one metallic and three creams. And it "bottles up the power of nature's most electrifying lightshow and the ici beauty of the arctic."

Zoya Whispers Swatches and Review | Transitional Shades 2016

Hope that you all had a great holiday. I am so sorry for being MIA but if you head to my Instagram, you'll understand why :-)

I have today swatches and review of the new transitional shades from Zoya.
Why transitional? The transition from winter to spring, although winter has not really hit here in Massachusetts, it was 70 degrees on Christmas eve!

These offer color serenity with a muted and tranquil palette of transitional neutrals and I love!
The bottle shot makes them seem as if they have glitter, they don't its just what I used as a background playing tricks :-)

Essie Neons 2015

Hello,

I have been really lazy lately and procrastinating...a lot. Well, at least on posting these swatches.

Essie released six "neon" shades for this summer and unlike the neons from last year, these do not need a white base. I'll say that it is optional.

The names of this collection were inspired by the Coachella music festival that is celebrated in California. These are fun names, I really liked them.

Let's jump right away to the swatches and what I think about these.

First up is Groove is in the Heart,a peachy pink, I would not call it neon, but is pretty bright.
When applying the first coat I got a lot of streaks and a hot mess. Once I applied the second coat it got better. Two coats should be enough but I did three for opacity.
