Essie's Aim to Misbehave Shimmer Brights Collection 2016| Essie's 1000th Nail Polish

Hello!

Today I have the new Essie’s Shimmer Brights 2016 Collection, which I do not think is their summer collection as I have seen the participants for Essie’s current contest using colors from the summer collection and these are not J

My guess? This is a collection to celebrate Essie’s 1000th Shade! And that is a lot!

So let’s dive right in…

The celebratory polish of this collection is Aim to Misbehave, a bright, very bright yellow and I’ll say the most shimmery of all. This is Essie’s 1000th nail polish. I’ve read that this is a limited edition. I love the cap which features gold confetti and 1000s all around.

Application was smooth, lots of shimmer. I had great coverage with two coats.
Depending on the lighting it may look a bright yellow or a kind of mustard yellow.
I do not care what kind of yellow it is, I am just happy that Essie have a yellow now and that I was able to get it :-)

DJ on Board is a bright, shimmery, almost metallic looking purple. It had a great formula and perfect coverage with two coats.

All Hands on Deck is a bright emerald. Another one with great formula and coverage with two coats.

Seen on the Scene is a hot pink, a little metallic looking with all the shimmer. It is Beautiful color and it had good application. Two coats for this coverage.

Sexy Plunge is a shimmery orange. Formula wise it was also good to apply. I did two coats for this opacity.

And the last one is Catch of the Day a GORGEOUS blue with excellent formula. This one reminded me of Mesmerize but definitely not a dupe as this one has very subtle shimmer. I did two coats for this opacity.

I would’ve gone crazy if the finish of these polishes were not shimmery (I am more of the cream loving polishes) but these are great overall. These are available at Ulta for $8.50 each
I will soon be going on maternity leave and hopefully still be able to swatch new polishes from my favorite brands every now and then. I am almost 39 weeks, which explains a bit my lack of posts.
Until next Post,
Jary
